?????? ??????? (Black Obelisk) is a Russian metal band. Style may be roughly described as Heavy or Thrash metal, although it is somewhat original. There are two major periods in its existence, that is before the death of the leader and creator ???????? ??????? (Anatoly Krupnov) in 1997 and after the band was recreated in 2001. Style in both music and lyrics is quite different in these periods, but it is still unmistakeably Black Obelisk.
