Biography
Grünes Blatt (German for "Green Leaf") is a sextet founded by bassist Dominique Girod and singer Irina Ungureanu in 2008. The plain but passionate melodies of the Romanian folkloric music are the central element of the Grünes Blatt sextet. However, the band seeks a new and improvised reinterpretation of this archaic folklore; looking for a sound that also integrates own lyrical adaptations into a new entity of its own. Different instrumental constellations are explored to present the songs in a new way each time.
