Biography
Abe Asami is the younger sister of former Morning Musume member Abe Natsumi. She started her career doing CMs for products such as the Nintendo Game Cube, and appeared in a few Japanese dramas. Asami entered the J-Pop music scene in 2003 following in her sister’s footsteps with some success. She has sometimes been referred to as the anti-Natsumi, with music that is a bit darker and more melancholy than her “idol” sister. To date she has released a total of six singles, two full albums, and three photobooks.
