Biography
Through many line-up changes over the years, the MegaOctet, formed in 1989 and led by Andy Emler, has remained what André Francis once described as "a laboratory for some of the most beautiful, daring and inventive playing today". Too turbulent and festive to be just a miniature version of the conventional jazz big band, and too virtuosic and extravagant to merely provide high class musical entertainement, it continues to defy expectations.
