Miu Sakamoto (????, born May 1, 1980 in Tokyo, Japan) is a vocalist and songwriter. Her musical style can be described as ethereal, dreamy pop. She is known for her powerful soprano voice. Owing to having grown up in New York City, Sakamoto developed a worldly aptitude from a young age, and is fluent in English. She is the daughter of two hugely successful Japanese musicians, Akiko Yano (????) and Ryûichi Sakamoto (????).
