Kat McKenzie (born April 26, 1984, in Wellington, New Zealand) has been an indie singer/songwriter/pianist since 1997, who is best known for the appearance of her song "Break Your Heart" in BBC Three's "Lip Service", and for her debut release on EP, "Hiding", in 2006. She also released several b-side tracks on her website in 2009, under the project "Operation Melody", where she attempted to write a song a week, in styles requested by her fans. She is also an accomplished stage and television actress
