Biography
Louis van Dijk (Amsterdam, 27th November 1941 - present) studied solo and classical piano at the Amsterdam Conservatorium and became fascinated with jazz music while studying. He became better known in the USA when in September 2005 he played at a charity concert at the Concerthall in Amsterdam to raise funds for Hurricane Katrina victims. Louis van Dijk has played with many greats inc. Ann Burton, Rita Reys, Pim Jacobs, Jacques Schols, Dizzy Gillespie, Thad Jones, Toots Thielemans both individually and as part of the Louis van Dijk Trio.
