Biography

Magga Stína is the moniker of Icelandic songstress Margrét Kristín Blöndal. Magga, a classically trained violinist, first appeared in the music world as the front woman and lead vocalist of Icelandic punk band Risaeðlan, or Reptile. They released one album in 1990, Fame and Fossils, and dissolved after the departure of co-singer Dora Wonder. In 1996, Risaeðlan compilation CD Efta! was issued by Smekkleysa, and featured all of the band's work post-F&F and various early demos.
