Biography
There are two artists with this name: 1) Oliver Jones was born on September 11, 1934, in montréal's Little burgundy district, which is near the St. Henri district where Oscar Peterson grew up. Oliver is, as Oscar Peterson, a Jazz pianist and composer, however he is also an organist, and arranger. He began his career as a pianist at the age of five, studying with Mme Bonner in Little Burgundy's Union United Church, made famous by Trevor Payne's Montreal Jubilation Gospel Choir.
