Salsa legend Pedro Juan Rodriguez Ferrer, born on January 31st, 1933, more commonly known as Pete 'El Conde' Rodriguez, El Conde was the moniker given to him by his hairdresser and means 'The Count' in spanish. El Conde sadly passed away in December 2000, leaving behind a legacy of Salsa classics, many of them recorded alongside the great Johnny Pacheco.
